Coronavirus - COVID 19

Park Place Closed...Public Safety Notice:
Today, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker has ordered the closing of every school and senior facility in the state. In compliance with the Center for Disease Control recommendations, the Governor's orders, and out of concern for your safety and well being, the Park Place Senior Center is closed until further notice. The facility closure includes all rentals and support groups. During the closure, staffers will be available at all Waukegan Township facilities and look forward to answering any questions by phone or email. We will re-evaluate the situation to ensure the community remains informed of any updated decisions.
Due to the increased uncertainty, it is in the best interest of Waukegan Township to not have large gatherings or programs. The following events are canceled:
Saturday's Expungement Summit in Mundelein, IL. - March 14th,
Coalition to Reduce Recidivism Public Meeting Monday - March 16th,
Eddie Washington Center Graduation Saturday - March 21st,
and the Artis Yancey HBCU tour March 22nd - 29th.
All cancellations are due to the concern of COVID 19 virus spread. We must be proactive and exercise great caution for the health and welfare of all attendees, participants, and volunteers.
For the latest updates and information on the spread of the virus, please visit the CDC's Information Page for the Coronavirus Disease. For information specific to how the disease is affecting our state, visit the Illinois Department of Health website.
Thank you from Supervisor Patricia Jones, the elected officials, and staff for your continued confidence in Waukegan Township.
